Support
Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live. All donations will need to be brought outside (easily accessible from driveway, porch, garage, or curbside) just prior to the your scheduled pickup time. No assistance loading the items into the truck will be required. Habitat’s ambitious goal of raising $40 million will underwrite a historic level ofaffordable housing production. As a result, scores of new families will realize the dream ofhomeownership and the prospect of becoming free from the bonds of generational poverty. Families and individuals in need of decent, affordable housing apply for homeownership with their local Habitat for Humanity.
Since that time, proceeds from sales have helped build and repair well over 200 homes in the Charlotte region, from Pineville to Statesville, helping to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Established in West Charlotte in 1996, the Wilkinson ReStore opened as the first Habitat for Humanity ReStore in our area. For over 20 years they have helped build affordable housing for local families through the sale of gently used furniture, appliances, electronics, home decor and more! Located within minutes of historic neighborhoods like Westerly Hills, Wesley Heights, Reid Park, Enderly Park and Wilmore, the Wilkinson ReStore is a jewel among these treasured neighborhoods.
